Mark Your Calendar for Red Ribbon Day
Newton, NJ – Now filming a drug-free life- starring YOU! The Sussex County Coalition for Healthy & Safe Families, a program of the Center for Prevention and Counseling, will be hosting the 7th annual Red Ribbon Day celebration on Sunday, November 4th. It will take place from 1-4 PM in the Sussex County Community College gymnasium in Newton.

Red Ribbon Day honors Enrique “Kiki” Camarena, a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent who lost his life in the line of duty. He believed a child could become anything he wanted to, if given the chance. The event will feature interactive exhibits, crafts and games, food, and a showcase of talent, where kids from around the county can demonstrate their “anti-drug” activity.
Are all Sussex County kids using drugs? No. But they are all at risk. For more information on how you can reduce the risk and be part of the solution, call Meg at the Center for Prevention and Counseling at 973-383-4787.
