New requirements for Medicaid/NJFamilyCare Release Date: August 04, 2006   New requirements for Medicaid/NJFamilyCare Recent federal legislation now requires that when applying for Medicaid/NJFamilyCare an applicant must provide both 1) Proof of identity, and 2) Proof of nationalization or legal immigration status. Requirements apply to both adults and children. These requirements are basically the same as now required when obtaining a Passport, Driver's License, being hired for a job, opening a bank account, etc. JD
